The short version

We don't store the text you format. We don't sell data. We don't use advertising trackers.

Text you format

When you click Format, your text is sent over an encrypted connection to our API and forwarded to an AI model provider (Local LLM, or OpenRouter if LocalLLM is unavailable) solely to produce the formatted result. The result is streamed back to your browser. We do not write your text to a database, logs or analytics. The AI providers process it under their own API terms.

Usage limits

To enforce the free word allowance we store a word count against a one-way salted hash of your IP address. The counter expires automatically when your allowance window resets. We never store the raw IP address.

Ratings and aggregate counters

If you rate a result, we increment a thumbs-up or thumbs-down counter. We also keep site-wide totals of words and documents formatted. None of this is linked to you or to your text.

Cookies and local storage

We don't set tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps your theme choice and your “minutes saved” total on your device only. Clear your site data to remove them.
